Splendor is an exciting Renaissance - themed board game that revolves around chip - collecting and card development. As Renaissance merchants, players aim to purchase gem mines, transportation means, and shops to gain the most prestige points. The wealthy ones might even get a noble's visit, boosting their prestige further. On each turn, players have three options: collect chips (gems), buy and build a card, or reserve a card. When collecting chips, you can take either three different kinds or two of the same kind. Buying a card requires paying its chip price and adding it to your playing area. Reserving a card ensures you get it and keeps opponents from getting it. It costs a round but gives you a gold joker chip, usable as any gem. All bought cards increase your wealth by providing a permanent gem bonus for future purchases, and some also award prestige points. The goal is to reach 15 prestige points before your opponents and win the game.

How to play: First, set up the game board with all the cards and chips. Each player starts with a set of starting resources. On your turn, you can choose to collect chips, buy a card, or reserve a card. If you collect chips, decide whether to take three different kinds or two of the same. When buying a card, pay the chip price and put the card in your playing area. To reserve a card, place it face - down in front of you and get a gold joker chip. Keep track of your prestige points. Remember, the first one to reach 15 prestige points wins. Attention: Don't forget that reserving a card takes a turn. Also, make sure to use your gold joker chips wisely as they can substitute any gem. Maintenance: Keep the chips and cards in a dry and clean place. If the cards get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft cloth. Avoid bending or folding the cards to keep them in good condition.
